The Icehouse was established in 1975 by Pam and Michael Sayer. The original concept for The Icehouse was to manufacture and install signage and product displays within retail premises. The business quickly adapted into a products & materials sampling business based in Western Sydney and has never looked back since.

Two of Pam and Michael’s sons, Peter and John Sayer took over The Icehouse and expanded business and production operations into Melbourne and New Zealand. In 2017, these branches were sold off and re-consolidated into Western Sydney.

In 2021, Sagamore Industries acquired The Icehouse which led to the change of name, Icehouse Sampling. The opportunity to acquire Icehouse Sampling was an opportunity that was too good to pass up. With Sagamore already focusing on re-building its Product Sampling business (after selling it in 1982) and with the loyal and high-quality staff located in Western Sydney, The Icehouse product Sampling business was a perfect fit for Sagamore.

With a strong manufacturing presence in Seaford Victoria, the business acquisition has allowed Icehouse Sampling to re-establish production capability in both Western Sydney and South-East Melbourne. Sagamore Industries, under the leadership of Chris Bristow, Managing Director, in Melbourne and David Walling, General Manger in Sydney, look forward to continuing the wonderful work that Pam, Michael, John & Peter Sayer delivered in the preceding 46 years and hope to continue to grow the business in the years to come.
